Meet tenalach, previously known at Antibes.
The day we first met!
She is a 1976 43 ft. Gulf Star Ketch. When we initially purchased her, she needed a lot of TLC. We spent a month “in the yard” or “on the hard” preparing her to be home. Since we moved aboard, we have continue to add creature comforts and other upgrades. Slowly but surely, she has become our home. She still has a lot of work to be done, but we have slowed down on projects so we are able to use her for intended purposes: sailing, adventures, and freedom! Oh, and learning to live aboard a sailboat with 4 souls and 12 legs! (Catchy, huh?)
Headroom: 6’5″ at the tallest
Water displacement: 23,000 lbs.
Heads: 2 (one toilet, one shower)
Cabins: 2 (sleeps 6, or 4 and 2 dogs)
Water Tanks: 100 gallons
Diesel Tanks: 65 gallons
Engine: Perkins Diesel
There are too many upgrades to list, but some of the main creature comfort ones include installed heat and A/C, new mattress, composting head, carpet, new ceiling with installation, painted side panels, and WiFi booster. Some non creature comfort but need to be done upgrades would include fuel cleaning, teak refinished, table removed, and wenches cleaned. You can learn about all of the upgrades on our blog!
As the adventure continues, the projects continue!
